Refund and Cancellation Policy
How paid plans are billed through Tebex, how to cancel, when a refund is possible and what happens to a project when a plan ends or a payment is reversed.
This page explains how paying for MonoAdmin works, how to cancel, and when you can get your money back. It is part of the Terms of Service.
The Short Version
- You buy paid plans on Tebex’s checkout. The price and any tax are shown there before you pay.
- You cancel at Tebex. Your plan keeps running to the end of the period you paid for, and then the project moves to the free Starter plan. Nothing is deleted.
- We do not refund partial months or unused time. There are two exceptions: within 7 days of your first payment for a plan, if you could not use MonoAdmin as described, and where the law requires a refund. Lifetime is a paid plan, so the 7 days apply to it, and it has no partial months because it has no billing period.
- To ask for a refund, write to hello@monoadmin.net with your Tebex transaction ID.
How Billing Works
Paid plans (Community, Plus, Ultra, Enterprise and Lifetime) are sold through Tebex. Tebex sells the plan to you as reseller and merchant of record, and Tebex’s own terms apply to the purchase. You pay on Tebex’s page, and MonoAdmin never sees your card details.
A payment buys one billing period of one plan for one project. You can buy a subscription, which renews every period until you cancel it, or pay one period at a time. Lifetime is the exception: one payment buys Lifetime for one project with no billing period, so it never renews and there is nothing to cancel. If the project has an active subscription, cancel it at Tebex before you buy Lifetime. The checkout shows the price and any tax before you pay. This policy does not list prices: the price is the one at checkout, and the Pricing page shows the same plans.
The plan changes when Tebex tells us your payment went through. Upgrading starts the new plan at once for a full period, and time left on the old plan is not carried over. Renewing early adds a period after the current end. Paying and Renewing walks through each case.
We keep a record of each payment (the plan, the amount, the currency, Tebex’s transaction ID and the email address you paid with) for accounting. See the Privacy Policy.
Cancelling
MonoAdmin cannot cancel a subscription for you. Cancel it yourself at Tebex, with the link in your Tebex receipt email or on Tebex’s customer page.
- After you cancel, the plan keeps running until the end of the period you paid for. The plan screen then shows that it ends soon.
- When the period ends, the project moves to the free Starter plan within about ten minutes. Nothing is deleted. Your players, punishments, notes, reports, roles, members and settings stay. The limits of Starter apply, and history beyond them is hidden. See When a Plan Ends or Runs Over.
- We send you a reminder about 3 days before a paid plan ends and nothing will renew it.
- Deleting a project or an account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel at Tebex first, or the charges go on.
Refunds
We do not refund partial months or unused time. If you cancel in the middle of a period, the plan runs to the end of it and that payment is not returned. We do not refund a renewal because you forgot to cancel.
There are two exceptions.
- Within 7 days of your first payment for a plan. If you could not use MonoAdmin as described, write to us within 7 days of the first time a project paid for that plan. Tell us what did not work. The seven days do not apply to renewals. They apply to Lifetime like any other paid plan, counted from its payment.
- Where the law requires it. If the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or to get a refund, that right stays, and we will honour it.
How to ask. Write to hello@monoadmin.net with the Tebex transaction ID, which is in your receipt email and on the project’s Settings > Payments screen. Say which project it was for. We answer as soon as we can.
How you are paid back. Refunds are made through Tebex, to the way you paid. How long it takes to reach you depends on Tebex and your bank.
What a refund does. A refunded payment ends the plan it paid for at once. If it was the plan in force, the project moves to Starter immediately, even if time was left on it, and the project owner gets an email. A refunded Lifetime payment ends Lifetime: the project moves to its best subscription that still runs, or to Starter if it has none. A refund is final. Nothing is deleted.
Failed Payments
If a renewal is declined, the plan stays active for a short grace period while Tebex tries again, and the owner gets an email. If nothing goes through, the project moves to Starter. See When a Plan Ends or Runs Over.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If something went wrong with a payment, please write to us first. We can usually fix it faster than a bank can. If you open a chargeback or a dispute with your bank without contacting us first, we may suspend the project while it is open.
While a dispute is open the plan keeps running, unless we suspend the project. If the bank decides against the payment, it counts as refunded and the project moves to Starter at once (for a Lifetime payment, to its best subscription that still runs, or to Starter). If the dispute is decided in our favour or closed, the plan carries on as before. A refund is final: a later dispute does not undo it.
Plans Granted by MonoAdmin
We can grant a plan to a project without a payment. A granted plan has nothing to refund, and a payment on Tebex does not change a granted plan while it is in force. If the project has a Lifetime payment, it goes back to Lifetime when the grant ends.
