Player Actions
Heal, revive, teleport, freeze, spectate, screenshot and the other actions you can take on an online player from their profile.
On This Page
The Quick Actions on a player’s Overview tab are the hands-on tools of the panel. Each tile runs a command on your game server and reports back whether the server confirmed it. Open any player from Players and Profiles and scroll below the live telemetry to find them.
Every tile is always shown, even when you cannot use it. A tile you cannot use is greyed out, and hovering it tells you why. That way you can see what exists and what your role is missing.
Why a Tile Is Disabled
| What the tile says | Why |
|---|---|
| Your role does not include this. | You lack the permission for the action. See the table below for which one. |
| Feature name is turned off for this project (Settings > Features). | The project owner or an admin switched the whole feature off. A feature that is off is off for everyone, including the owner. See Features and Modules. |
| Player name is offline. | The action needs the player on the server right now. |
| Not available for this server’s framework or resource version. | Your framework cannot do it (money, items and jobs need ESX, QBCore or Qbox), or the resource on your server is too old. Update it from the dashboard. |
| Screen sharing is off for this project. | The Spectate tile needs screen sharing, which MonoAdmin can switch off for a project. |
Two tiles are hidden instead of disabled: Del Car and Repair Car disappear while the player’s live reading says they are on foot, because there is no vehicle to act on.
The Tiles by Group
Moderation
These open the Issue Punishment dialog for the player. Each needs its own permission.
| Tile | Needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ban | Ban | Works on offline players too. |
| Warn | Warn | The player must confirm it. See Warnings, Mutes and Community Service. |
| Kick | Kick | The player must be online. |
| Mute Voice | Mute | Needs a server that can mute voice. |
| Mute Text | Mute | Needs a server that can mute text chat. |
| Service | Community Service | Assigns community service tasks. |
| Shout | Shout | See below. |
Shout pops a short message up on this one player’s screen, and nobody else sees it. Write up to 200 characters and choose how long it stays: 3, 5, 8 (the default), 10, 15 or 30 seconds. It appears in the style set under Settings > Display; see Display, Themes and Time Zones. Use it for a quick word before reaching for a warning.
Watch
| Tile | Needs | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Spectate | Watch Player Screens | Opens the player’s live screen in the Player Monitor, in the first free slot. If you are using the panel inside the game, it uses the in-game spectate camera instead and needs the Spectate permission. |
| Screenshot | Screenshot | Captures the player’s screen and saves it to Files. |
| Retake Picture | Screenshot | Takes a new picture of the player’s face in game for their profile picture. |
| Freeze | Freeze | Locks the player in place, or releases them. |
Screenshot opens a window that captures straight away. A capture can take up to 30 seconds. If the game server does not confirm in time, the window says the screenshot may still arrive and updates by itself when it does. The picture is stored in Files, where you need View Files to see it, and the window shows when it will be removed. Take Another captures again. See Player Monitor and Screenshots for what a screenshot proves, and what it does not.
Freeze changes its label to Unfreeze while the player is frozen. When the panel has no live reading yet, the tile offers a small menu with Freeze in Place and Unfreeze.
Help and Move
| Tile | Needs | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Heal | Heal | Restores the player’s health to full. |
| Revive | Revive | Brings a downed player back, using your ambulance script. See Revive and Ambulance Scripts. |
| Teleport | Teleport | Opens a dialog to move the player. |
| Bring to me | Teleport | Moves the player next to your own character after you confirm. |
| Routing bucket | Set Routing Bucket | Moves the player to another routing bucket. |
Teleport asks Where to:
- Coordinates: X and Y between -20,000 and 20,000, and Z between -1,000 and 5,000.
- Another player: pick an online player to send them to.
- To me: send them to your own character.
To me and Bring to me need you to be in game with your game account linked, because MonoAdmin has to find your character. Link it under Settings > My Membership; the Link Game Account button gives you a code to type in game, as described in Turn On and Open the Menu. If you are not in game, the toast tells you so.
Routing bucket takes a whole number from 0 to 65535. A routing bucket is a separate copy of the game world: players only see others in the same bucket, and 0 is the main world. The dialog shows the bucket the player is in now.
Vehicles, Job and Money
| Tile | Needs | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Spawn Car | Spawn Vehicle | Gives the player a vehicle where they stand. Type its spawn name, such as adder, sultan or police3. |
| Del Car | Delete Vehicle | Deletes the vehicle the player is in, after you confirm. They stay where they are. With jg-advancedgarages v3, an owned vehicle goes back to its garage. |
| Repair Car | Repair Vehicle | Fully repairs the vehicle the player is in. |
| Set Job | Set Job | Changes the player’s job and grade, effective in game at once. Needs ESX, QBCore or Qbox. |
| Give $ | Give Money | Adds money to one of the player’s accounts. |
| Take $ | Remove Money | Takes money from one of the player’s accounts. |
| Give Item | Give Item | Adds items to the player’s inventory. |
Details that matter:
- Del Car removes the vehicle from the world. Only with
jg-advancedgaragesv3 does it also put an owned vehicle back in its garage, with no return fee, and the confirmation says “Owned vehicles go back to their garage.” With any other garage setup the vehicle is simply deleted, and the owner’s garage record is left as it was. See Garage Scripts. - A spawn name has up to 32 letters, digits and underscores. For an add-on car, use the name its resource defines. An unknown name is refused with a message saying so.
- Set Job lists the jobs your server knows and takes a grade from 0 to 100.
- Give $ and Take $ list the accounts your framework has, such as cash and bank, and take a whole amount from 1 to 1,000,000,000. Money given or taken this way is counted separately from money earned in game, so Analytics can tell them apart.
- Give Item lets you search the server’s item list and takes a count from 1 to 10,000. If the inventory cannot take it, the game server refuses and the toast says “The player cannot carry that much.”
- These actions change the live player. To change a character that is offline, or to edit identity, position, inventory or metadata, use the Character tab: see Characters and Owned Vehicles.
Fun
The Fun tile opens a menu of the effects your role allows. If it allows none, the tile is disabled. Every effect asks first and states its consequence in the confirmation, with a Do It button.
| Effect | Needs | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Ragdoll | Ragdoll | They fall over and get up again a moment later. |
| Set on Fire | Set On Fire | They are set on fire and lose health until it goes out. |
| Drunk | Drunk | Their screen and movement go drunk for a while. |
| Explode | Explode | An explosion goes off where they stand. It can kill them and damage what is around them. |
| Explode Head | Explode Head | Their head explodes. This kills their character. |
| Reverse Controls | Reverse Controls | Their movement controls are inverted for a while. |
| Flip View | Flip View | Their view turns upside down for a while. |
| Animal Attack | Animal Attack | An animal spawns and attacks them. |
| Kidnap | Kidnap | The kidnap sequence runs on them: they are taken away in a vehicle. |
What Happens After You Click
Each action reports the game server’s answer:
- A short toast confirms it in plain words, such as “Healed Alex.” or “Moved Alex to routing bucket 5.”
- If the server refuses, the toast says why in the game server’s own terms where it can.
- If the server does not answer in time, the panel says: “The game server did not confirm in time. It may or may not have happened.” It never claims success it has not seen.
Every action is written to Audit Logs with who did it, to whom, and the result.
Other Places to Act
- The Server Map player card has a Quick Actions menu with Heal, Revive, Freeze in Place, Unfreeze and Bring to me.
- The in-game menu has its own player window with the same moderation tools, plus actions that exist only in game, such as Go To and healing everyone nearby. See The Panel Tab and Player Window and The Self Tab.
- Permissions are chosen per role. See Roles and Permissions and the Permission Reference.
